Exciting Projects at Willow Creek Park Thanks to a Generous Donation
Basin Recreation’s courts at Willow Creek Park are well loved and it is starting to show. While the District had budgeted for some repairs, a generous donation from the John C. Kish Foundation has allowed staff to expand the upgrade project significantly. Beginning the week of July 29, all of the courts at Willow Creek Park will be resurfaced.
The project is considerable and intended to satisfy the needs of the Willow Creek Park patrons. The existing south courts will be resurfaced and lined for eight pickleball courts. The existing north courts will get a brand-new surface and be lined for tennis. And to complete the project, the basketball court will also be resurfaced.
The project is scheduled to take about three weeks. During that time, please observe all posted closure signs and make sure to visit the Trailside Park courts to keep your game on point. The sooner the new surface sets, the sooner you can start enjoying the courts. At that time, windscreens will be placed and the courts will be ready to play.
This project would have been out of budget if not for the generosity of the John C. Kish Foundation. With its donation to Basin Recreation’s general charitable purposes, the project was expanded and hopefully achieves a consistent and welcomed facelift for Willow Creek Park.
