About Willow Creek Park
Willow Creek Park is a vibrant and diverse recreational area that spans 17.5 acres.
Opening to the public in 2006, the park features a variety of amenities including a playground, dog park, exercise par course, and courts in addition to large playing fields, pavilions, and multi-use trails. Adjacent to the park is protected open space with additional multi-use trails. Two parking lots provide convenient access to Willow Creek Park and the surrounding open space.Â
Pets must be leashed at all times, except in designated off-leash areas and are not permitted in the playground area.

Playground
The all-abilities playground was built in 2023. This inclusive playground is equipped with nature-inspired elements, sensory experiences, and extensive wheelchair ramps, making it a unique space for people of all abilities to enjoy themselves together.Â
Dog Park
Willow Creek Dog Park features a fenced area with 24,000 square feet of grass and soft surfaces perfect for fetch. The park also features an agility course and three shade shelters with benches. Â
Courts
The park features 2 tennis courts, 8 pickleball courts, 2 sand volleyball courts, and a basketball court. All courts are first-come, first-served. Paddle saddles are available for pickleball players to share court time and indicate which group receives the next available court.   Â
Pond
Adjacent to the dog park, the Willow Creek Park Pond is open seasonally for dogs to swim and cool-off. The pond features a floating dock for adventurous dogs who love to make a splash! When conditions permit, the Willow Creek Park Pond is transformed into a natural ice rink for skating. The Pond is cleared of snow and mopped to create a skating surface. This amenity is free and open to the public. Users must bring their own skates – no rentals are available. Dogs are not allowed on the ice.Â
Trails & Open Space
The park serves as a gateway to nature with paved pathways. Adjacent to the park is 66 acres of undeveloped open space with soft surface trails. Together, these multi-use trails connect to the broader Snyderville Basin trail system and provide year-round recreation opportunities for walking, running, biking, and Nordic skiing. Â
Pavilions
The park features 2 small pavilions that are available for reservation and 1 small and 1 large pavilion that is available on a first come, first served basis. Pavilions feature ample shade and picnic tables.Â

FAQs
Nope, people are not allowed! The water in the pond is replenished from nearby streams and is also used to irrigate the park throughout the summer months. Since these are natural surface water sources, we monitor and test the pond throughout the season. If harmful blue-green algae were present, the pond would close immediately, and remain closed until further testing was conducted. If your dog has a weakened immune system or you are concerned with the risk of exposure, consult your veterinarian before allowing your dog to swim.
No – all outdoor courts are available on a first-come, first served basis. Court reservations are available inside at The Fieldhouse.
Spring weather in the Park City area can vary widely and it’s not uncommon for the courts to be snow-covered through April. Once the courts are dry, our Parks team work diligently to install nets and hang wind screens. Outdoor courts will stay open as long as weather permits, typically into October.
