About Rob’s Out & Back Hiking

Starting and ending at Rob’s Trailhead, Rob’s Out and Back offers a serene 2.1-mile hike through lush, forested terrain with scenic viewpoints along the way.

The route begins with a 0.8-mile multi-use section of Rob’s Trail, where hikers and bikers share the trail heading uphill. Rob’s then makes a sharp right turn, and heads uphill for another 1.3 miles. Enjoy a much-deserved rest on the bench at the top of Rob’s before descending back the way you came.

Seasonal Closures:
The Summit County roadside parking restrictions are in effect from November 15 – April 15, and Rob’s and Mid Mountain Trail System is closed from November 1 – May 15.
