Trails

Following a storm, Basin Recreation prioritizes snow removal on all commuter pathways and trailheads prior to any trail grooming. Due to this prioritization, there is no set schedule for grooming. If you encounter a Basin grooming machine while on the trail, please give the operator plenty of space and leash your dog. Thank you for your patience!

45 km total groomed
10 km Nordic ski only
35 km multi-use

Each trail type serves a specific purpose, providing options for varying outdoor activities:

These trails are groomed for Nordic skiing only and are set for both skate and classic skiing when conditions permit.

While most of Basin’s singletrack trails are not maintained throughout the winter, they remain open unless otherwise noted. Check the Park City Trails map for updates.

Winter conditions reduce the amount of parking at Parkview and Short Stack Trailheads in Summit Park. Trailhead cameras are available to help you check parking availability and road conditions to better plan for your next trail adventure.

Parks

Even in the winter, you can still enjoy some fun in the snow in Basin Recreation’s Parks.
