Looking to break into a new winter sport? Put on your snow gear and come out to Willow Creek Park for Basin Recreation’s Winter Sports Extravaganza! This free event will feature classic and skate Nordic ski clinics with Basin Recreation instructors, fat tire bike demos from Storm Cycles, and general avalanche awareness presented by the Utah Avalanche Center. All ages and ability levels are welcome. We’ll see you on the snow!
Skate and Classic Ski Clinics will be held from 10:30am-11:15am and 11:30am-12:15pm and are perfect for beginners or those looking to hone their skills. Feel free to join either one, or both for added instruction!
Participants must bring their own Nordic ski equipment. Discounted Nordic skate and classic ski rentals are available from White Pine Nordic Center for $20 and include skis, boots, and poles. These discounted rates sell out fast – don’t wait to reserve equipment! Participants who take advantage of these discounted rentals must pickup their equipment from White Pine prior to the event.
