The seven-member Administrative Control Board of Basin Recreation is appointed by the Summit County Council to oversee the operation of the District. All Board members are required to be registered voters at the place of their residences in the Snyderville Basin. Board terms are 4-years and vacancies are advertised to be filled at the end of each 4-year term. Board members may choose to apply for reappointment.

Ben Castro lives in Silver Creek with his wife, Amy, and their children, Paige and Anna. He brings vast experience to Basin Recreation's planning and budgetary processes due to his background in the financial services industry. He is also an avid user of Basin Recreation's amenities. His interests include mountain biking, trail running, and triathlons. When he isn’t outdoors, he makes good use of The Fieldhouse. He also serves on the Summit County Recreation Arts and Parks Advisory Committee – Cultural. He looks forward to continuing to promote recreation for the Basin.

Ryan Bruce lives in Jeremy Ranch with his wife, Julie, and young children, Harper, Landon, and Kinsley. At work, Ryan manages a Vocational Rehabilitation program where his teams help people with disabilities find and maintain meaningful work after an injury or illness. Ryan is passionate about spreading the importance of wellness education and easy access to trails and facilities to keep communities physically, and mentally, healthy. Free time is often spent outside with the family downhill and cross-country skiing, BBQing, and exploring Basin Recreation trails and facilities.

Carrie Westberg has lived in the Snyderville Basin for 20 years, currently residing in Summit Park with her husband Gabe and their Nuzzles and Co. rescue mutt Beau, and their two kitties, Willis and LJ. Carrie worked at Deer Valley Resort for 18 years in the Marketing department, although she no longer works there her passion for our community remains strong.

Amanda Singer has lived in the Snyderville Basin for over 34 years and currently resides at the Newpark Townhomes. She retired after a 32-year career from the Utah Department of Human Services. Amanda enjoys cross country skiing, road biking, hiking, fly fishing, yoga, and pickleball play. She looks forward to bringing her experience in government relations, strategic planning, and addressing the needs of underserved populations to the Board.

Brandi Connolly

Brandi Connolly lives in Silver Springs with her husband and three young daughters. Brandi is a management consultant by day, where she focuses on strategic planning for organizations in the sports, events, and hospitality space. Prior to entering consulting, Brandi served on the host committee for Super Bowl XLII, as the director of a trail running series, and as an executive for a sports flooring manufacturer. Brandi and her family moved to Park City in 2013 for the active lifestyle it offers and often takes advantage of the extensive Basin Recreation amenities. She is excited to bring both her executive management experience and her family-oriented perspective to the Board.

Alisa Schofield has been a Summit County resident for over 20 years, living in Summit Park since 2003 with her husband and two children. As a public school teacher at Park City High School, Alisa brings her background in education and experience working with our Snyderville Basin youth to the board. When not working, Alisa and her family can be found rafting the rivers of Utah, skiing in the Wasatch, enjoying the abundant Basin Recreation trail systems year round, and relaxing in their Summit Park backyard.
