Project Highlights

In addition to the routine maintenance functions the trails team performs daily across our 150 miles of trail and the multitude of small tasks that arise regularly, below are some project highlights from 2016. 

 

  • Completed relocation of 24-7 trail in Bob's Basin
  • Completed rebuilding of School Yard pump track at East Canyon trailhead
  • Built a new hiking trail in Run-A-Muk Off Leash Dog Area
  • Installed trailside seating on Millennium trail and Toll Canyon trails
  • Crack sealing and seal coating of 6 of the 23 miles of asphalt trails and trailhead parking areas
  • Patching of multiple soft surface trails
  • Side vegetation trimming along 29 of 108 miles of backcountry trails
  • Weed management along 35 miles of urban trails and trailheads
  • Mowed trail edges along 30+ miles of urban trail edges
  • Manage and maintain 38 Mutt Mitt stations along all urban trails and backcountry trailheads
  • Hosted the 2016 Trailside Bike Park Shred-n-BBQ party 
  • Deadfall and downed tree removal on multiple backcountry trails
  • Hosted National Trails Day project in June
  • Sweeping of 23 miles of paved trails
  • Re-built the skills park at Trailside Bike Park
